The Taprite Regulator Outlet Fitting is a critical safety component for any CO2 or Nitrogen gas manifold. This fitting features a 1/4″ hose barb and a built-in one-way check valve. The check valve is designed to prevent liquid (beer or soda) from backing up into the regulator diaphragm if a keg becomes over-pressurized or if gas pressure is lost. Constructed from heavy-duty plated brass, it provides a reliable and durable connection for your standard 1/4″ ID gas lines.
Safety Tip: A failed check valve is the #1 cause of damaged gas regulators. Periodically test the valve by ensuring no liquid can pass backward through the barb when gas is disconnected. Use a small amount of PTFE tape on the 1/4″ NPT threads to ensure a gas-tight seal to your regulator body. Always secure the gas line with an Oetiker clamp.
