The Dual Scale Refractometer is the ultimate tool for monitoring sugar concentrations in wort or must. Unlike traditional hydrometers, this optical device requires only a few drops of liquid to provide an instant reading of both Brix (0-32%) and Specific Gravity (1.000 to 1.130). Features Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC) to ensure accuracy across varied ambient environments.
Calibration Tip: Before each use, calibrate the device using a drop of distilled water. The blue line should sit exactly at 0 on the Brix scale. Note that alcohol distorts refractometer readings; for post-fermentation measurements, you must use a Brix-to-SG calculator to account for the presence of ethanol.
