Description
This heavy-duty 304 stainless steel gas check valve is an essential safety component designed to prevent the backflow of liquid into your CO2 or Nitrogen regulators. Featuring a 3/8″ Male Flare (MFL) inlet and a 3/8″ Male Pipe Thread (MPT) outlet, this one-way valve ensures that gas flows strictly toward the keg. Its stainless steel construction is highly resistant to the corrosive effects of carbonic acid, making it a superior upgrade over standard brass valves in high-moisture draught environments.
- Inlet Connection: 3/8″ Male Flare (MFL)
- Outlet Connection: 3/8″ Male Pipe Thread (MPT)
- Material: 304 Stainless Steel Body and Internal Spring
- Function: Single-direction check valve to prevent liquid migration
- Compatibility: Ideal for gas blenders, primary/secondary regulators, and manifolds
- Durability: Industrial-grade finish resists oxidation and chemical sanitizers
Technician’s Note: Always install this valve with the flow arrow pointing away from the regulator. If you notice your gas gauges fluctuating or “creeping” upward when the gas is shut off, the internal check seat may be fouled by dried beer or soda. Because this is a 3/8″ MPT connection, use high-quality PTFE tape or pipe dope on the threads to ensure a gas-tight seal, but be careful not to let excess sealant enter the valve body, which can jam the spring-loaded check mechanism.
