The 3/16″ 304 Stainless Steel Tailpiece is a foundational component for any high-quality draft beer or wine dispensing system. Precision-machined to fit standard beer thread hex nuts and wing nuts, this tailpiece creates a sanitary transition between your beverage lines and couplers, wall brackets, or shanks. Manufactured from high-grade 304 stainless steel, it is entirely flavor-neutral and resistant to the pitting and “green” corrosion associated with chrome-plated brass. The 3/16″ barb is specifically engineered to provide a tight, leak-proof friction fit for the 3/16″ ID vinyl or polyethylene tubing commonly used to maintain proper restriction and balanced pours.

Technician’s Note: The 3/16″ line is the industry standard for draught systems because it provides the necessary resistance to prevent foamy pours. When installing this tailpiece, ensure you place a Beer Line Washer between the tailpiece flange and the coupler/shank before tightening the nut. For a permanent, gas-tight seal, we recommend using a 13.3mm Oetiker Stepless Clamp. If the 3/16″ tubing is difficult to slide over the barb, a 5-second dip in hot water will soften the plastic enough to seat it firmly against the flange.
